School Of Communication

Led and expanded one of USM’s most dynamic student organizations with over 200 members from diverse cultural backgrounds. I developed initiatives to strengthen team cohesion, promoted wellness and cultural diversity, and organized tournaments that became central to campus life and international student integration.

Oversaw budget planning, secured funding opportunities, and coordinated a series of professional development events for communication graduate students. My leadership helped streamline the association’s operations and fostered a supportive environment for scholarly collaboration.

Supported statewide STEM initiatives by facilitating event logistics, guiding student participants, and ensuring smooth competition experiences. My role included mentoring students in scientific inquiry and problem-solving during the Olympiad.

Served as an evaluator for the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, assessing high school research presentations. I provided constructive feedback to young scholars, nurturing their interest in research and communication.

Conducted scholarly peer reviews, evaluating research in media studies, communication, and journalism. My contributions ensured publication quality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the field’s evolving discourse.

Acted as a judge in this collegiate debate competition, providing detailed assessments on argument strength, delivery, and critical reasoning. My involvement supported the development of persuasive communication and analytical skills among participants.

Featured in a special episode to discuss Islam, Christianity, and cultural bridges. I contributed insights on interfaith dialogue, cultural misconceptions, and strategies for promoting mutual understanding between Arab and Western communities.

Managed all internal and external communications, social media content, and event promotions for the club. This role enhanced member engagement and elevated the club’s visibility on campus.

Promoted cultural exchange and academic support through events, mentorship, and advocacy. I helped Saudi students adjust to the U.S. education system, celebrated Saudi heritage, and built inclusive networks across campuses.

Organized and led fundraising efforts that secured essential support for the Assalam Center’s educational and cultural programs. My contributions included strategic outreach, event coordination, and community engagement to bolster the center’s impact.
